♥ Breaking News ♥ UPDATE

*just needed to clarify myself*
Hello Prim Friends,
Hope ya all had a wonderful day. It rained all day here in PA. That's ok tho....it's
better than snow!! :)
Although, with all this snow melting and now this rain, we do have a lot of water laying. The creek is really high too, sure hope we don't get water in the basement!!
I have some breaking news I'd like to share with my special friends :)

I actually sewed my first "pattern"!
YES...A REAL honest to goodness PATTERN!
*[when I say "real, honest to goodenss pattern" I mean a pattern I actaully did, using my sewing machine! I didn't mean that other patterns I have, or have used aren't "real honest to goodness patterns! I appreciate ALL patterns :)
I just felt I needed to clarify that...] *
This is "GILBERT" Bunny.
He is a Heartspun Treasure Primitives pattern.

I am so happy with the way he turned out...I had a heck of the time getting his ears turned-it took me forever...........I obviously need more sewing tools. Tweezers and a sharpie marker don't cut it for turning bunny ears :)

I have to tell ya, I really want to pat myself on the back when it comes to Gilbert's feet!!. They actually look like little bunny feet!!!! Don't ya just love his feet?????????????

I made Gilbert rather prim, but I did want him to look "springy" too, so he's wearing a posy and there are a few posies poppin up in his box amongst his fabric eggs too.

Below is a sign I just finished up. I love it...I have to make myself one next.
This one is heading to Missouri! :) Hope she likes it!

Well, that's all I got today...rather boring here, rainy, dreary...gonna get cold and nasty...good weekend to do more prim projects!!

You all have a wonderful weekend--and thanks so much to taking a minute to stop by! I love hearing from ya....

...oh...I'm glad some of ya got a good ole belly chuckle outta that last post.......it wasn't funny until Roger showed up...then I had to LOL too.......it's GOOD for your B/P to LAUGH OUT LOUD!! :D

We all have 'em...

Ya know what I'm talkin about...
....those days where everything ya do turns to pooh! :(
I did NOT get one thing accomplished today...well, I did get all the laundry done...whooooooopie!
I figured I would get all my chores done, then try to make some fabric eggs to go with a bunny I have been trying to SEW! LOL...for one thing it doesn't even resemble a bunny...it looks like funky a pineapple! But at least I gave it a shot. I figured if I make enough fabric eggs...I can use them to hide most of the bunny anyway...
So-eager to get my chores outta the way so I could work on my fun stuff....
I got my vacuum out and started running it...all was goin smoothly until I snagged a loose fiber on my runner in the mud room.......my gosh can those unravel faaast!! Before I could even get the sweeper shut off almost half my runner was gone! It was all tangled onto my sweeper roller :(
Who woulda thought that rug was made outta one single LONG piece of nylon yarn??? Not me!!
Took me forever to get that unwound and off the roller. Then I had to try to get the burned rubbery smell out of here..............must be I didn't get it vacuum turned out off quick enough...cuz something started smelling pretty bad. Which made me very angry because I was in the midst of baking bread and simmering some homemade soup........... it WAS smelling quite luscious in here...until that mishap occurred!
Got the sweeper all taken care of.....lite some tarts...... and was all ready to start my fabric eggs!
But first....
I went out to check on my vat of homemade spilt pea with ham soup...all seems to be goin well in the kitchen! :) YAY!
Soup smells good, looks like split pea soup (which is a good thing)...don't know whether you've noticed, but I NEVER post about cooking and NEVER ever take "food pics"...
....cuz I can't cook!
So when something actually turns out...I get rather tickled!
Anywho....I decided I best taste the soup, so I did, and it needed some salt.
So I went to get up into the cupboard above the stove.... (which I hate cuz I can't reach anything)...and PLOP!
My box of bakers chocolate fell into my HOT vat of soup!
I actually caught the box of baking soda before it hit!! Nice save on that!
I had green pea soup splatter every where! All over the stove, the side of the frig on the microwave.....on the tile in the grout and all over ME and the dog! Thank goodness we didn't get burned!
That stuff dries like CRUST too...so I wanted to hurry up and grab my dish cloth and get it wiped up... so I reach in with my fingers to pull out the box....thinkin that's the fastest way to get it out......
Well, of course the box was opened and when I pulled it out...Plop---plop, plop (5 flippin' plops in all)
...all the squares went back into the soup! I couldn't use my fingers this time cuz some of the squares sank (of course) so I tried to hurry and get a big slotted spoon...well, since I was actually looking for and NEEDED a slotted spoon I couldn't find it! [Steve puts the dishes away sometimes, and he finds 'His own place for things' some times I NEVER find my stuff!!]
Funny thing- when I want that stupid baking chocolate to melt quickly it NEVER does...seems to take an eternity.....but drop it into piping
hot split pea soup...and start stirring it around tryin to find those squares....and you'd be amazed at how fast it melts!! :(
So as I am hurrying around trying to find something, anything to get the rapidly melting chocolate out...the UPS man shows up!
LOL.............I just had to crack up at that point...........HA!
I grabbed a spatula and fished around for the melty squares, some stayed wrapped, and some didn't!!! So I had to find the wrappers now too! I ran to the door...dish rag in one hand and green soupy spatula in the other and soup splatter and chocolate all over the front of me!
I yelled through the door at Roger (my wonderful UPS man) to open the door cuz my hands were full! He opened the door and stepped in...
He says..."GOOD LORD-KATH...what is that???????"
I said, "well Roger, I had a little mishap in the kitchen with my split pea soup and some bakers chocolate....do I really need to say more??!!"
...Nope...'nuff said!! :) He did add, "it looks like ya got into with SHREK and actually scared the crap outta him!"
Anyway...Roger delivered my Wellies, [my garden boots]-I was really happy to get them and couldn't wait to open them and try them on..........but first I had to go clean the kitchen-then shower!
So there ya have it...no crafting for me today!
No crafting and No dinner!
I do have a nice warm, fresh, loaf of bread tho...which will make very tasty PB&J sandwiches--YUM :(
It's all Steve's fault...if he would have put my slotted spoon in the drawer where it belongs I could have saved the soup and the chocolate!!!!!!!!! LOL!
I had a poohie day!
Hope you all had a good productive and fun day!
...at least my new Wellies fit :-)

Pssssssssst......I gotta tell ya something...

Hello Friends!
I hope you all are having a HAPPY Tuesday :)

I just wanted to make a quick post to let some of ya know I can not leave a comment for ya!

I have been trying since yesterday afternoon, into last night and again this morning! I noticed that the blogs that have their comments set to "Embedded Comment Below Post" are the one's I can't get to work??? Has anyone else had this problem? The "word verification" won't load, therefore I can't get my comment to stick! Just wanted some of you to know....I have been trying to leave ya comments! :)

Have a wonderful day, Everyone!

Good Day, All :)
Hope you are having a wonderful Thursday!
It's snowing here in PA...again...or STILL.....LOL...seems it is never ending!
I am so tired of WINTER-*please note* I'm not complaining...I am just making a statement! :)

I am suffering from a BAD case of cabin fever, I have already done my spring cleaning, (which at this rate, by the time spring gets here, I will have to do again!) I am so bored, I try to find things to keep me busy....there is only so much one can do, especially when I don't drive in the winter!!

As some of ya know.....I have resorted to doing COUNTED CROSS STITCH...that's how bad it is.......Counted Cross Stitch..........HELLOOO---that is the most slow moving, and sorta boring project ever!! It sure isn't helping my time to pass quickly!

I have been working on a few other projects, in between my bouts of cross stitch boredom! :)
I got another label made for that candle I had put aside in my "re-do" pile...so I guess I can scratch one more off that list! :) ....and here are a few others I have made..........
I like to burn the edges a bit to give them a more aged effect! The candle label I decided to burn a bit more :) I like how it turned out!

I have also been workin on my sewing-I got some prim cinch sacks made, Just made them outta muslin and used twine for a draw string. I got 5 bags made and some of them stitched.

I plan to make up some for dried herbs and hang them on a peg board.

I made two for my candle keep peg rack too...

for this one I used ticking...

We also made a Peg Board Candle Keep! I have to say, I am so pleased with how this finished up! I JUST LOVE IT!

I have been debating on whether or not to get my selling blog goin, I have had it up for a couple of months now, and still haven't posted prices!

Honestly, I am having a hard time with which pieces to offer....my pieces aren't exactly easy to ship, boxes are a big problem, I have to have pretty big boxes for some items, and another concern is shipping costs. I think I may offer a few smaller things to start with, and just see how it goes............I really need to get my rear in gear on this...make a decision one way or another...to SELL or NOT to SELL???

While on that subject....I want to say CONGRATS to Pam, Janae and Jenn--who just started their new selling blogs! (....and YAY for all of us...who get to purchase their wonderful goods!) They offer some awesome prim items...if you haven't checked them out...Please do!:)

I wish you girls the best on your new venture...you'll do GREAT...you are all so talented!

Oh and before I go.......Guess what....Maurine left me a comment about my Amish Doll-(I had posted that I would love to find someone willing to make her a new outfit) She said she would make it!! I am sooooo tickled about it! THANKS SO MUCH MAURINE!! I guess that's another "scratch off" my re-do list!!! :)

Well, guess that's if from here--I have to go finish up my cinch sacks, get the words stitched on them, then I might make so signs and work on the stove top cover...............Enjoy your day and thanks so much for stoppin by!

Hugs ♥

Scratch one "re-do" off my list :)

Happy FRIDAY, My Friends!
I hope you all are having a wonderful day....

Well, as ya know...during my spring cleaning I unearthed quite a few UFP's!
I am happy to report I completed one project and it can now be 'scratched' from my "re-do" pile! ;) YAY! One down............so many more to go!

Remember these UGLY gold boxes??

Well here's what they look like now

Nice and Prim :) Don't ya think?

Oh, and this is "Miranda" and her little bear friend...

Maurine, from Kotton Country Kreations made her, isn't she wonderful?! I love the little bear. Maurine did a fantastic job-huh?!

Well, that's it from here...not much, I know....but I feel really good about making TWO posts in ONE week!!

~Thanks so much for stoppin by~

I wish you all a Happy " ♥ " Day, tomorrow!

Spring Cleaning---unearths more projects!

Hello my Friends!
... It's the 9th day of February...and this is my FIRST post of this month! What the heck has been goin on with me??

Well, I have been busy doin all my spring cleaning! Figured I might just as well get it over with since the weather is yucky! The nasty deary cold *ickiness (*word or not??) will break soon...I just know it...and SPRING will be here and I will be all ready for it! :)

I got all the windows washed (inside) the curtains washed, quilts and throws laundered and I got all my walls and wood work wiped down...... along with the "hoeing" out of closets (where most of this stuff was unearthed!)

Ya know I was feeling pretty darn good about being ahead of the ole ball game when it came to my spring cleaning! But that good feeling about "being ahead" sorta dwindled, once I took a gander at the spare bedroom!

See, this is where I put all my great finds while cleaning....sorta like Janene's "Good Will" hunting, only I didn't even leave my home ...I'm thinkin that's not really something to be proud of! :)

LOL-this room is the catch all for every little misfit in my home, and the last room to get done!
As I went through each room, and gathered up things that needed some prim TLC or things that I just didn't finish--
they all ended up here!

I found so many unfinished projects (I'm actually embarrassed about how many I found!!!)...I found other things that I had stashed away in closets (cuz-they needed a re-do)--and then I forgot all about them!

I found a few things I had stored just because I didn't know what else to do with the stuff :) Am I the only one that does that?

For no other reason, than, I'm just this way about things........ I have grouped my stuff...I'm happy that I only have THREE GROUPS to be honest! LOL!
Group #1 "UFP's"...all my Un-finished Projects! This group has the most items and is the most disappointing to see...
unfinished bench found in laundry room!

Stove Top Cover, this project is actually a sample, we just made it the other day so I don't feel as bad about this one not being done yet--but it does go into the unfinished group!!

This pile of primed pine is a shelf! LOL...I found this up on another shelf! It needs PUT TOGETHER and then distressed!

Unfinished stitchery Unfinished counted cross stitch-aka-my nemesis!

This is a baby blanket cross stitch, it's huge...well not huge, but rather large for a cross stitch project....it's all done as far as the cross stitching goes, but I still need to get a back on it and an edge around it! I started it for my nephew, before he was born, planned on giving it to him after he arrived-LOL-he turned 10 in Sept! :) That's 10 as in Years-not months! This would be my OLDEST unfinished project!! Can anyone out there beat that?? Or will anyone out there, besides me....admit to having an UFP that old??

Group #2 is my "re-do" stuff!

Quilt Rack, some scones/candles, little wooden chair, tissue holder, stack of boxes to recover, More boxes and some jars to re-do with labels

Finally I have Group # 3...this is my 'just stuff ' pile! :)

I found these old oval wood frames ....and some old vintage postal cards (the cards I had put up because I don't know what do with them, they are enclosed in glass and leaded).

I have quite a few more, I just haven't come across where I put the other ones! Here's the back of one of 'em...some of them are really old....

I have this handmade Amish doll too, I am going to stain/age her body and
I would really like to change her clothes...anyone of you wonderfully talented seamstresses out there think you could make and sell me a little prim prairie outfit for her?? Please??? Anyone???

I would really like to give her a new look and re-do that little wooden chair and sit her on that!!

And lastly-here's what I have been working on in the evenings!
LOL-Yep-I started another counted cross stitch!! What was I thinking?

So, that's what I have been up to since my last post! :) I am not goin to say "stay tuned" to see the re-do's...lol...cuz heaven only knows when they will get done! I really do hope to finish my cross stitch tho!!

Thanks for stoppin by-Enjoy your day!

♥ ~Hugs
