Ahhhhhh Election day is OVER!!!

Good day all!

I don't know about you.....but, I am so happy Nov. 4th 2008 is over! Those "robo calls" were just awful here in PA!! I'm so blessed to live in a country with so many FREEDOMS-even if one of those freedoms- (robo calls)- is annoying, to say the least! I was just beside myself watching the coverage on TV last night...to see people with tears of joy and hope streaming down their faces......some of color, some white, some young, some old.........to see a nation come together and cast a vote...whether Dem or Rep...Black or White...rich or poor....we all had the same agenda on the same day....to let our voice(s) be heard....to get out and VOTE for what we believe in!

We are so Blessed to live in the good ole USofA! And for me, it wasn't about "who" won...it was about WHO made this possible--the simple fact is...we are ABLE TO VOTE!! Each and everyone of us....No matter who got elected-It was our decision.......................OUR CHOICE! That's an awesome thing!

Whether we are Dem or Rep...no matter what color our skin is...no matter what jobs we hold, doesn't matter how much $$ we have....it doesn't matter where we live or even what GOD we worship................we are a free nation, given this privilege to vote for who we want to be Commander in Chief of our great nation. I am thankful for our freedoms....................and I wish & hope & pray for the 44th President of the United State of America-that he can and will do what is 'right' and 'just' for our country and all her people!!

*please note...I am quite disgusted by the amount of $$ spent on this election...and I am disgusted even more to see it spent on nasty ads...it's just sad to me. I think they should have a "capped amount" to spend and a certain amount of time to campaign.....this election was a bit too much...in every aspect! But then again...that's what Freedom is................it's their right to choose how they run their campaign and it's my right to complain out it! ;)

As far as my jury duty....well it's wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! :)

That was a huge relief! I kept telling myself, this too is a privilege we've been granted...to be judged by our peers..............

I didn't know that the "jury" actually got LOCKED in the jury room tho!! That was a bit unnerving! I have to admit, the entire process was very interesting. All the jurors in this case were good, caring, and level headed people...which made our verdict come quickly! :) The "tip staff" (the people who are in charge of the jury) were so kind and thoughtful. We were not permitted to be alone for even 1 second! They made sure we had everything we needed! I felt kinda "special" :)

Even tho this case sent chills down my spine, knowing what this man was convicted of previously, and now sitting before a jury again.............I was able to look at just these facts brought before me...and make a judgement based on that! Sometimes it's hard knowing that someone is a felon, but yet they paid their debt to society, so once paid....you should not judge...right? I won't go into detail about the case....it's disturbing...I will say it had to do w/Megan's Law....anyone who knows what Megan Law relates to, will pretty much know what this case was about...............it was a hard case to sit in judgement of..............all I can say is, I am glad I went through this experience, I learned a lot from it, I HOPE I NEVER have to do it again....and I can sleep well knowing that the decision I made, was based on facts and NOT his past ....................
and I Prayed A LOT!!

We were all "sprung" from our locked room rather early, so I didn't have to worry about when I could go vote!!

Well, I have to go out and get my side table finished....I have it all painted and distressed---all I have left to do is...........hand rub it with some wax!

Hopefully I will be posting some pics of it tomorrow!

I hope ya all have a beautiful Wednesday!!
